A magical time in Canyonlands: a calm evening with an approaching storm provides for great visibility and interesting cloud formations. The storm dropped about 2 feet of snow in the Denver area 2 days later.
Technical. Canon 5D Mark II 21 megapixel digital camera, center crop from an 18-frame digital mosaic (20,904 x 9,595 pixel image, 200 megapixels) giving a 7,892 x 5,248 pixel image (41 megapixels). Canon 28-135 IS lens at 47 mm f/9. Manual exposure 1/80th second, ISO 200, with polarizer.
