These chicks were very hungry, and a parent had just returned to the nest. "Oh Boy Mommy's home! Time to Eat." Venice Rookery, Florida.
Technical: Canon D60 camera, 700mm f/5.6 (500 mm f/4 IS lens +1.4x TC), 1/500 sec at ISO 200. This is 1120 mm equivalent focal length on 35mm. This is the full-frame, uncropped image. Actually, at 700 mm this image required two frames mosaiced together.
